Homecoming: Alumni, Mixer, and More

Homecoming this year was a big success for KDR. On Friday, brothers hosted the women of Delta Delta Delta for a pre-pep rally mixer for the second year in a row. Due to nasty weather, the mixer was moved inside where the fraternity and sorority could socialize in comfort. Brother Ryan Jones '17 helped plan the event with Tri Delta's social chair. Brothers Mitchel Lewis '17 and Richie Conway '17 grilled burgers and hot dogs for the party. When it was time, the fraternity and sorority left as a group to head to Spurlock where the pep rally was being held.

The next day, the men of KDR hosted a pancake breakfast for the alumni. Brother Mitchel Lewis '17 communicated with his alumni committee and Alumni Corporation President Elect Brother Evan Wineland '06. Many of the alumni stopped by for pancakes before heading over to the tailgating tent in Hoover and Cline Woods. Brother Lewis and Conway teamed up on the grill to supply food for everyone while the rest of the brothers socialized. The homecoming event was overall an incredible success for the actives and alumni.

While there, Shaughn was able to experience some of the cultural events in Australia along with his girlfriend, Shawnee Bayes. He was able to see Vivid Sydney, a festival of light, music, and ideas which features the illumination of the iconic Syndey Opera House. Shaughn was also able to see some of the local wildlife and go to a rugby game.
